In an increasingly uncertain security environment, civil defence is no longer solely a matter for public authorities. Businesses play a crucial role in strengthening society’s resilience during crises, heightened alert, and ultimately war. From supply chains and infrastructure to leadership and continuity planning, corporate preparedness is becoming an essential part of Sweden’s total defence.

Anna Starbrink will discuss the role of companies within Sweden’s civil defence, the evolving expectations on the private sector, and how boards and business leaders can contribute to a more resilient society in times of crisis and conflict.

About the Swedish Civil Defence Agency and Anna Starbrink:

Anna Starbrink is Director General of the Swedish Civil Defence Agency (MCF). The agency is responsible for strengthening Sweden’s civil defence and supporting society’s preparedness for crises, heightened alert, and war. Anna has extensive experience from leadership roles in both public administration and politics, with a longstanding focus on healthcare, security, and societal resilience.

The event will be held in Swedish.

Participation in the first two events is free of charge. By registering for a third event in SelectionF, you will automatically be enrolled as a member and invoiced for a 12-month membership period

Why your unique way of thinking is a strategic asset in executive management and the boardroom

When it comes to diversity in executive management and the boardroom, the evidence is clear: diverse leadership teams make better decisions, challenge blind spots and strengthen business performance.

Yet too many leadership teams still lack one of the most important forms of diversity: cognitive diversity - the different ways people think, solve problems, spot risks and create opportunities.

This interactive workshop will help you understand why your unique way of thinking is not just valuable, but a strategic asset. You will gain fresh, powerful arguments that move the diversity conversation beyond traditional gender-based perspectives and into the boardroom’s core agenda: better decisions, stronger governance and future-ready businesses.

Combining Matthew Syed’s team of clones model with the Creative ID™ psychometric tool, the workshop explores:

    • What cognitive diversity is, what it looks like in practice, and why it matters
    • How creative intelligence brings cognitive diversity to life and makes it actionable
    • Why cognitive diversity is essential in executive management and the boardroom
    • How different thinking styles can strengthen decision-making, innovation and business resilience

The workshop is hosted by Hanne Kristiansen, Creative ID™, and Astrid Jørgensen, consultant and board professional.

When the Takeover Call Comes, Will You Be Ready?

Boardroom dynamics change fast when a takeover attempt is on the table. Governance and strategy collide — and every decision carries consequences for the company's future. What should you do if shareholders push for a deal you're not sure about? When confidential information starts leaking at the worst moment? How do you efficiently work with advisors and other stakeholders?

The dilemmas that arise in a takeover process are rarely black or white, and they put the board's fiduciary duties to the test.

At our upcoming SelectionF event, Andreas Dalhäll from EY joins Sofie Bjärtun and Linnéa Dolk from Vinge for an honest, behind-closed-doors conversation about responsibility, risk, and what it really takes to navigate the line of fire. Don't miss it.

Linnéa and Sofie are partners in Vinge’s Capital Markets and Public M&A team. They both regularly advise boards and offerors in connection with public takeovers. Sofie is also a member of the Swedish Securities Council (Aktiemarknadsnämnden) which issues rulings within the takeover field. Andreas is a partner at EY and has been working with capital markets transactions since he joined the firm, in 2007.

Participation in the first two events is free of charge. By registering for a third event in SelectionF, you will automatically be enrolled as a member and invoiced for a 12-month membership period.
